The Listening Lab offers high-quality tinnitus evaluation and management at its audiology clinics across Singapore, combining detailed hearing tests, personalised counselling, and device-based premium relief solutions.
For many people, tinnitus presents as constant ringing or buzzing in the ear that interferes with sleep, concentration, and daily life. While there is no single cure for tinnitus, proper management can significantly reduce its impact. With the right approach, many patients experience meaningful relief and regain control over their quality of life.
Here’s why patients choose the Listening Lab for tinnitus care in Singapore:

Occasional ringing or buzzing in the ears can happen to anyone and often fades. Tinnitus becomes a concern when symptoms persist and start to interfere with everyday life.
Constant noise in the ears can make it hard to concentrate, follow conversations, enjoy television, or fall and stay asleep. Over time, this ongoing disruption can contribute to stress, irritability, and reduced enjoyment of daily activities.
Persistent tinnitus is commonly linked to noise exposure without adequate hearing protection. This may occur through work environments or leisure activities involving loud sounds at unsafe volumes. In some cases, this exposure leads to permanent hearing changes that trigger ongoing tinnitus.
Signs it’s time to seek professional help include:
Chronic tinnitus is recognised in ENT guidance as a condition that can significantly affect quality of life and mental wellbeing, which is why early assessment and proper management are important.

One of the most common causes of tinnitus is noise-induced hearing loss. Repeated or sudden exposure to loud sounds can damage sensitive cells in the inner ear. This damage may trigger symptoms like persistent ringing or buzzing that does not go away on its own.
Tinnitus can also be linked to other underlying factors. These include age-related hearing changes, excessive earwax buildup, ear or sinus infections, and certain medications. In some cases, jaw or neck issues, poor circulation, or medical conditions affecting the ear and nervous system may also contribute to tinnitus.
Everyday noise sources that can increase tinnitus risk include:
Using appropriate hearing protection and managing sound exposure are key to reducing long-term risk. A full hearing assessment and medical evaluation are important to identify the cause of tinnitus and rule out more serious underlying conditions.

Tinnitus is the perception of sound in the ears without an external source. Common symptoms include:
Symptoms can change depending on time of day, recent noise exposure, or stress levels. It is helpful to note when your tinnitus is most noticeable and discuss these patterns during your consultation for a more personalised management plan.
At The Listening Lab, tinnitus evaluation and management are provided by specialists in our clinics across Singapore, combining thorough hearing assessments with personalised care.
The evaluation process typically includes:
If any red-flag signs appear, such as sudden hearing loss, unilateral tinnitus, or dizziness, we collaborate closely with ENT specialists in Singapore to ensure urgent medical evaluation and care.
There is no clinically proven permanent cure for tinnitus, but it is possible to reduce how much it interferes with daily life using evidence-based approaches.
At The Listening Lab, we provide tinnitus management in Singapore that combines personalised strategies, hearing support, and lifestyle guidance to help patients regain control over their symptoms.
Core treatment approaches for ringing in the ear symptoms typically include:
This coordinated approach ensures each patient receives relief tailored to their hearing profile, lifestyle, and symptom severity.
Hearing aids and Tinnitus Control Instruments (TCIs) are a common and effective part of tinnitus treatment at The Listening Lab. They work by addressing underlying hearing loss and providing sound-based relief to reduce the perception of ringing or buzzing.
Our audiologists personalise device features to match the pitch of your tinnitus and fine-tune settings over time for optimal comfort.
How TCIs help:
Tinnitus and hearing loss are closely connected. In many cases, tinnitus occurs when the auditory system is deprived of sound input due to hearing loss. The brain may respond by amplifying internal neural signals, which can be perceived as ringing, buzzing, or other phantom sounds.
Restoring external sound through hearing aids often helps reduce the prominence of tinnitus. By improving overall hearing, these devices make the tinnitus less noticeable and easier to manage.
At The Listening Lab, our audiology specialists in Singapore personalise hearing aid fitting and fine-tune settings to balance amplification with tinnitus relief, helping patients regain focus and comfort.
To reduce persistent ringing or buzzing in the ears and its effect on sleep and daily activities, management often combines sound therapy, personalised sleep strategies, counselling, and, when needed, collaboration with doctors or specialists for underlying sleep issues.
Strategies that can help include:
These approaches support better sleep, improved focus, and a more comfortable daily routine for people living with tinnitus.
During your first visit, you can expect a thorough assessment that typically includes a detailed symptom history, ear examination, and a full hearing test. Tinnitus-specific evaluations such as questionnaires and pitch/loudness matching may also be performed.
Appointments usually last 30–45 minutes, and improvement with management strategies or device-based relief is gradual rather than immediate.
The cost of tinnitus treatment varies depending on the assessment and whether hearing aids or Tinnitus Control Instruments (TCIs) are recommended. Your audiologist will discuss all treatment options and pricing upfront, so you can make an informed decision before starting any device-based therapy.
The Listening Lab provides expert tinnitus evaluation and management at its audiology clinics across Singapore. Patients can receive personalised assessment and treatment for persistent ear ringing, combining hearing tests, counselling, and device-based relief.
Who should book an evaluation:
Appointments are designed to provide clear guidance, personalised strategies, and discussion of all treatment options before any device-based therapy is initiated.
Been hearing about The Listening Lab for the longest time but have never thought i'll need to walk in someday.
I have been experiencing prominent Tinnitus lately and was worried that it would be indication of hearing loss, so I made an appointment to visit this outlet. The premise was nicely furnished and the test and consultation was done in a room which makes it so much more comfortable than in a booth like I tried elsewhere before.
Despite being the last appointment of the day, Fann was very patient as she walked me through a Hearing test and eliminated hearing loss which gave me a real peace of mind. We then continued with some discussion, which she could identify some issues that may have contributed to my symptoms and gave me real helpful suggestions on how I could possibly improve it on my own or to have it checked further. There was no cost involved and zero pushy sales talk.
Such business ethics are rare today.
Once again, Thank you Fann for your time and The Listening Lab for the great service! 🙂

I have been experiencing tinnitus & hearing loss for a very long time. When the sound gets louder, it is very disturbing & really hard for me to exchange conversation with someone where I have to depend on one side of my ear to listen. I always feel bad that I have to ask the other party to repeat a few times. I have been wondering if the hearing aids will really help. After much consideration, I went to Listening lab at West Mall to check out. Flyonn was very patient & professional in attending to my queries, recommending the hearing aid that was suitable for me. I was delighted that I could hear better with the hearing aid & now I speak much softer than before. The ringing sound also stand out less at times.

To start, I have nothing but praise and gratefulness to Ms Vina Ang for attending to the charging device and the buzzing sound on the right hearing aid. She not only diagnosed the problems superbly. She was patiently explaining the causes of the issues. Especially, the buzzing issue which was due to blockage and infection of my right ear .As to the malfunction of the charger, she traced it to the defect of my charging cable. And she replaced my faulty cable with a new one without charge. I really cannot asked for more. So far, this is my 2nd purchase of the Signa hearing device and I like to share that my 1st set of more than 5 years is still working. Thanks to the after sale service of your company and your audiologist.
Last but not least, although I bought both sets of Signa hearing devices from the audiologist department of Singapore General Hospital, the services which your people have accorded to me was exemplary.

I am very happy with the service provided by this lab. Each time I come, I am able to have my problems corrected. Thanks to all the staff

I highly recommend anyone who wants to get a good hearing device to head to Listening Lab (LL) as it has the expertise, experience and technology to give you a good hearing fit. I have very good experience with Bloom and its successor, Listening Lab, which has been reorganised with up to date technology. I have been wearing hearing devices for the last 15 plus years, but have wonderful, close to human ears experience for the last 8 years or so when under the care of Bloom/LL.

Tinnitus is the perception of sound, such as ringing, buzzing, hissing, clicking, or roaring, without any external source. The noise can be constant or intermittent, and it may be present in one ear or both. While tinnitus is not life-threatening, it can affect concentration, sleep, and overall quality of life.
At Listening Lab, patients are guided through evaluations and management plans to better understand and manage their tinnitus.
Tinnitus can arise from a variety of factors. Common causes include prolonged noise exposure, age-related hearing loss, earwax buildup, ear or sinus infections, certain medications, and other medical conditions affecting the ear or nervous system. A full hearing and medical evaluation is important to rule out more serious causes. At Listening Lab, audiologists help identify the likely contributors for each patient and recommend personalised strategies to manage symptoms.
There is currently no clinically proven permanent cure for tinnitus. However, many patients at Listening Lab experience significant relief with proper management. Strategies include sound therapy, hearing aids, counselling, and lifestyle adjustments to reduce the perceived intensity and impact of tinnitus on daily life.
Listening Lab provides tinnitus treatment in Singapore through a comprehensive approach. This includes a detailed hearing test and tinnitus evaluation, hearing aids or Tinnitus Control Instruments (TCIs) with masking features, sound therapy, counselling, and strategies to improve sleep and reduce stress.
It is advisable to seek professional care if tinnitus is persistent, worsening, affecting sleep or concentration, or accompanied by sudden hearing loss, dizziness, or one-sided symptoms. Early evaluation allows for timely management and reduces the impact on daily life.
Hearing aids in Singapore and TCIs can help reduce the awareness of tinnitus. Amplification restores external sound, which often makes tinnitus less noticeable, while built-in masking or noise features provide relief in quiet environments. Many studies and clinical practices recognise these devices as a core component of tinnitus management.
Persistent tinnitus can interfere with restful sleep, increase stress, and impact mood or concentration. Management often includes coping strategies, relaxation techniques, sound therapy, and, when necessary, referral to mental-health professionals to support overall wellbeing.
